2020-10-24

Nowadays, with the worsening trend of population aging in society, the application demand for medical robots is also continuously increasing, and surgical robots, with rehabilitation robots as the main focus, have already been widely used.

Medical robots are an emerging development direction in the global robotics and medical device fields, and an important technological high ground that countries compete to invest in and contend for. Medical robots have obvious characteristics of high technology, high barriers, and high added value, and have a revolutionary impact on medical surgery, rehabilitation medicine, health management, hospital services, and other aspects.

In recent years, China's medical robot industry has gradually accelerated its development and has become one of the most closely watched industries in the cross-border field of robotics and healthcare, demonstrating broad market prospects and development vitality.

At present, China has many types of medical robots, mainly including rehabilitation robots, auxiliary robots, surgical robots, non-therapeutic service robots, and other robots. Among them, rehabilitation robots account for the main proportion at 42%; followed by auxiliary robots at 17%; surgical robots account for 16%, and non-therapeutic service robots account for 8%.

From the perspective of application, the application demand for medical robots in China is continuously increasing, and the main rehabilitation robots have been widely used. Moreover, on the basis of surgical robots and rehabilitation robots, various types of auxiliary robots and service robots such as logistics, drug compounding, blood collection, and capsule robots have been further developed. Within the next 50 years, the market size of medical robots will be larger than that of automotive robots.
